Proceeds from the following fund-raising
events help support the Lake George Arts Project's many programs. These
programs are presented free to the public and include the Summer Concert
Series in
Shepard
Park,
the Lake George Jazz Weekend, various workshops and presentations, and the
Courthouse Gallery exhibition series.

Bands 'n Beans: the Lake George Arts Project’s 17th
annual festival of chili and music took place at Roaring Brook Ranch,
Lake George, on Sunday, March 2, 2008. Approximately 50
restaurants and individuals made chili for the event, with over a 1000
people attending. Plenty of hot music was served up as well.
Performances included The Audiostars, Bluz House Rockers, Ernie
Williams Band, Rick Rourke & Lost Wages, Richie Ortiz, Tim Wechgelaer &
Friends, Chris Ballini, John Kribs & Friends and Jim Gaudet & the
Railroaders. This event is the
Lake George Arts Project's largest fundraising event, raising over $18,000
for the organization.

Summer SunsetCruise!
Come celebrate the Solstice Season aboard Lake George’s luxury cruise boat,
The Adirondac! Thursday, June 19, 7 - 9:30 pm. This
event includes a cruise along the lake, finger foods from area
restaurants,
live music by Richie Ortiz, raffle prizes, and a silent auction with items and
certificates from local businesses. Reservations required, call 668-2616.
Lake George Arts Project Golf Tournament:
October 8th at the magnificent Sagamore Golf Course. The food and spirit of the

The Black Velvet Art Party:
The twentieth annual Black Velvet Art Party
will be held Saturday, November 8th, 2008, at Roaring Brook Ranch, Lake
George, NY. The fundraiser is a celebration of black velvet art. Artists
will donate new, original works of art for the party’s silent
auction. This funky formal will also feature awards for original black velvet
art and attire, live music, dancing,
games, psychic readings, and more! All proceeds from the event
support the Courthouse Gallery exhibition series. |
